Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus!

Wondering how to become a member of Urbancrest or maybe you want to find out what we believe? Maybe your just curious and would love to hear the heartbeat and vision of Urbancrest. The Engage Urbancrest Class is a four-week gathering that allows individuals and families to explore Urbancrest and pray through becoming members of our church. This class is designed to have teaching elements, interaction elements and a time to hear the vision for several of our ministries that you might be interested in.

Embark on the journey of The Well.  During our time together, we will seek to grow in our understanding of the Christian faith, life, and what a disciple of Jesus really looks like.  It is our hope and goal throughout these sessions that you would truly experience God, through both this discipleship process and the people around you.  We are excited for you and greatly respect you for being men and women who are pursuing God.  Know that we are praying for you and are here to support you in any way we can. 

Real spiritual growth begins in biblical community. Groups are more than just another bible study during the week. It is about doing life together, seeking the Lord in all things, holding each other accountable in our spiritual growth journeys, and gaining a deeper understanding of who God is and what He means in our lives. Tithing is simply giving the first tenth of all your income before taxes or anything else is taken out. When you tithe, you are making an investment into the Kingdom of God and saying to God “I trust you to supply everything in my life.” It teaches us to always put God first in our lives.
We also practice sacrificial giving, which is what you give beyond your tithe in obedience to God's calling in your life.
